Meet the SAU Administrators
Dr. Ann Forrest
Dr. Ann E. Forrest earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont, her M.Ed in Reading from the University of New Hampshire, and her Ed. D. in Educational Leadership from Boston College. She has worked as a New Hampshire educator since 2000. In the ConVal School District, she is in charge of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment as well as professional development for teachers, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources to provide high-quality education and support the academic success of all students within the district. Since 2017, Dr. Forrest has been closely involved in the successful implementation of the 1:1 Chromebook program in the Conval school District. She is the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Service Award by the New Hampshire School Administrators Association (NHSAA) for exemplary achievement and leadership. She was selected as ConVal's Superintendent in 2025.
Dr. Amy Stevenson
Dr. Amy Stevenson holds a B.S. and M.A. in Special Education from the University of Connecticut. She also earned her administrative license and Sixth-Year Certificate in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University, along with a Superintendent’s Certificate from Central Connecticut State University. She earned her doctoral degree in Social, Emotional, and Academic Leadership at Sacred Heart University. With 29 years of experience in public education, Dr. Stevenson has served in a variety of roles, including special education teacher, early intervention teacher, special education director, and, most recently, assistant superintendent of personnel and student services in a Connecticut school district. Now relocated from Connecticut, Dr. Stevenson joins ConVal to lead efforts in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. She is committed to working collaboratively with staff, students, families, and the community to ensure a high-quality educational experience for all. Dr. Stevenson is passionate about helping all students overcome barriers to success and believes strongly in equitable access to educational opportunities and accommodations. She looks forward to collaborating with the ConVal community on behalf of all students.
Heather Britton-Doucette
With 29 years of experience as a school counselor, Heather is a dedicated and compassionate educator committed to supporting students’ academic success, personal growth, and personal well-being. Her background also includes roles as a Therapeutic Support Clinician and DCYF Child Protective Service Worker, bringing a deep understanding of student needs, trauma-informed care, and family systems. Throughout her career, Heather has been an active leader at both the school and district level, serving on numerous committees including Community Belonging, Faculty Advisory, Student Voice, Emergency Management, and School Climate and Culture. As Union President in her last District, Heather played a key role in teacher retention, recruitment, and contract negotiations. Known for her collaborative approach, strong work ethic, and student-centered mindset, Heather builds meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff to help all learners reach their full potential.
Deb Riley
Deb Riley earned her B.A. in Communications/Journalism from Virginia Intermont College and her MEd in Special Education from the University of Tennessee. Riley began her career in Tennessee in 1985 as a special education teacher working in an alternative program. In her 39 year career, Riley has taught special education at the middle and high school levels, was an elementary behavior management specialist, taught Journalism and 11th and 12th grade English at her Virginia high school alma mater, held adjunct positions at colleges along the way, held lead administrative roles for a K-12 school for students with significant behavioral/emotional challenges, a private K-12 school for learning disabilities, and was the Education Director for a Children/Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital. In addition, Riley has held coaching positions in basketball, volleyball, softball, and golf for those various schools and districts. Riley moved to Hancock, New Hampshire, in 2014, joining the special education staff at ConVal High School. In 2018, she joined the Nashua School District as the Director of Brentwood Academy. In 2020, she returned to ConVal High School as the Special Education Administrator and advanced to the Director of Special Education position at the SAU in 2025.
Alisa LaSalle
Alisa LaSalle is a graduate of ConVal High School, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Wesleyan University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Salem State University, and is currently pursuing her MEd in Educational Leadership from the University of New England. Prior to stepping into the Director of Student Services position in July 2026, Alisa had been a social worker for ConVal’s Preschool for All Program for 6 years. Before that, she spent 14 years as a school social worker in a therapeutic day school for students with social, emotional, and behavioral dysregulation, and another 6 years as a supervisor and coordinator in a behavioral treatment residential program. Alisa promotes a collaborative approach to problem solving and works to build meaningful, authentic relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
Neal Cass
Neal is a longtime resident of Hancock, New Hampshire, and a ConVal graduate—an experience also shared by his two children. Prior to joining the SAU, Neal served for 15 years as the Town Administrator for Hopkinton, New Hampshire. He also held similar roles in Antrim and Lyndeborough, New Hampshire, gaining a wealth of municipal leadership experience. In addition to his professional background, Neal has been an active leader in the community. His service includes roles such as Select Board Member for the Town of Hancock, Moderator for the ConVal School District, and former owner of the Hancock Market. Neal joined the ConVal community “eager to bring [his] expertise in budget management, policy development, and operational efficiency to support the mission of the district in fostering student success and community engagement.”
Tim Grossi
Tim has worked in the Contoocook Valley School District for the last 16 years. He has been in facilities management for the last 26 years specializing in Lean Principles, energy saving enhancements and cost savings implementations. He is a graduate of NH Vocational Technical College in Manchester with a degree in Building Construction. He serves as the school district's NH DES liaison as the required training relates to Asbestos Management, Underground Storage tank management and LEAD in drinking water act. He has been active in the community having served on several boards including the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.
