Meet the SAU Administrators
Dr. Ann Forrest
Dr. Ann E. Forrest earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont, her M.Ed in Reading from the University of New Hampshire, and her Ed. D. in Educational Leadership from Boston College. She has worked as a New Hampshire educator since 2000. In the ConVal School District, she is in charge of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment as well as professional development for teachers, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources to provide high-quality education and support the academic success of all students within the district. Since 2017, Dr. Forrest has been closely involved in the successful implementation of the 1:1 Chromebook program in the Conval school District. She is the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Service Award by the New Hampshire School Administrators Association (NHSAA) for exemplary achievement and leadership. She was selected as ConVal's Superintendent in 2025.

Cari Coates
Cari Christian-Coates M.Ed., LSSW has worked for the Contoocook Valley School District for the past Twenty-eight years. Cari is an experienced Director of Student Services with a demonstrated history of working in the public education management industry as well as Community Mental Health with extensive experience as a Special Education Administrator. She is a Licensed School Social Worker as well as Certified Special Education Administrator in the State of New Hampshire. Cari is skilled in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavioral Disorders, PreK-12 Education, Student Counseling, Social Emotional Learning, Positive Behavior Support and Crisis Management. She also has a Background in Community Mental Health and strengths in Community Collaboration, mental health and school administration. Cari is a strong public education professional with a Master of Education focused in Counseling/Psychology from Cambridge College. She also has a B.S. from Colby-Sawyer College.

Michael Hatfield
Michael Hatfield earned his B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with certification in elementary education and general special education from Notre Dame College. He also earned his Master's in Education and Certificate of Graduate Studies in Advanced Education Leadership from the University of New England. He has been an educator for over 20 years and currently holds six educator endorsements (Elementary Education, General Special Education, Principal, Special Education Administration, Curriculum Administration, and Superintendent). He began his tenure in the ConVal School District in 2023.
Neal Cass

Tim Grossi
Tim has worked in the Contoocook Valley School District for the last 16 years. He has been in facilities management for the last 26 years specializing in Lean Principles, energy saving enhancements and cost savings implementations. He is a graduate of NH Vocational Technical College in Manchester with a degree in Building Construction. He serves as the school district's NH DES liaison as the required training relates to Asbestos Management, Underground Storage tank management and LEAD in drinking water act. He has been active in the community having served on several boards including the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.
