School Counseling
In the ConVal School District, school counselors are vital to the academic, career, and personal social development of all students.
Working in collaboration with other educational programs, our certified school counselors ensure equity and access to programs and services so that every student is challenged and supported to achieve his/her highest potential. To make an appointment with a school counselor, click here.
The mission of the school counseling department is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program that encourages the highest level of student achievement through growth in academic, career, and personal/social domains.
The department partners with teachers, administrators, parents, and the community to help all students be lifelong learners and problem solvers. The department implements the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model.
Counselors will help students in:
-
Academic Development: Students will acquire the academic preparation essential to choose from a variety of educational, training, and employment options upon completion of secondary school.
-
Career Development: Students will investigate the world of work and make informed decisions.
-
Personal/Social Development: Students will acquire an understanding of, and respect for, self and others, and the skills to be responsible citizens.
The district Director of School Counseling is Terri Drogue.
