Preschool for All - First Friends
First Friends preschool is designed to meet the needs of three- and four-year-old children with varying abilities. Students in our program for three-year olds attend three mornings a week from 8:45 to 11:45 am. Students in our program for four-year olds attend 4.5 days a week, for a full day Mon, Tues, Thu, Fri from 8:45 am to 3:00 pm, with a 11:45 am dismissal on Wed.
First Friends Preschool is offered at Antrim Elementary School, Greenfield Elementary School, Hancock Elementary School, and Peterborough Elementary School. Our quality program is designed to provide enriching experiences for each child.
First Friends children learn through active exploration and interaction in an enriching environment. There are many opportunities provided for sociodramatic play, art, music, and movement. Each morning’s activities are designed to develop your child’s language/literacy, cognitive, social/emotional, fine and gross motor, self-care, and independence skills.
Children learn from one another. Our classroom environments are welcoming and safe spaces where children feel secure and valued. These classrooms include accessible materials and well-defined play areas to foster opportunities for independent and cooperative play. Students choose activities based on their interests, promoting autonomy and decision-making.
Our inclusive practices are fully supported by our amazing team of interventionists. Materials and activities are adapted to support children with various developmental needs, ensuring all children can participate in meaningful play and grow as learners.
