Music on Monday
Band: 6th Grade Band will meet with Mr. Lowy today during Plus Block.
- Block 2 – 5th grade flutes
- Block 3 – 5th grade clarinets
- Block 6 – 5th grade alto sax
- Block 7 – 5th grade trumpets
The Jazz Band rehearses Monday after school.
Chorus: 7th and 8th Grade Sopranos AND Altos will meet with Mrs. Fortin Monday during Plus Block.
Sports: Track Club resumes on Tuesday, April 28.
Field Hockey Summer Camp: If any SMS female student is interested in the Keene State College Field Hockey Camp offered this summer, the brochure is in the front office for pick up.
Outdoor Recess Schedule – Everyone can be outdoors as long as it is not raining. Otherwise: Grade 6 gym /Grade 5 gym
Friday May 1st attend the 3rd annual Dance Team Recital! See some of your favorite dances from this year plus many new ones! The show starts at 7pm in the SMS Gym. Tickets are $5/person. Purchase tickets in advance from SMS Dancers or at the door! We hope to see you all there!
Yearbooks are now on sale for the 2014-2015 school year. The cost per book is $14.00. The deadline to place your order is May 11. Your homeroom teacher will be passing out a note to go home explaining the sale. Submit your payment to your homeroom advisor. 8th grade students may bring payment directly to Mrs. Couture during C&F class or at the start of PLUS block. Bring in payment by May 11th to reserve your copy. For questions, see Mrs. Couture, yearbook advisor. Yearbooks will be distributed during the last week of school.
Special Message from Food Service:
Don’t forget the Cinco De Mayo chicken fajita lunch is this Wednesday! It is being hosted by the SMS Lunch staff and Sarah, the Nutrition Intern from Keene State College. There will be chicken fajitas on whole grain tortillas, onions and peppers, red beans, shredded lettuce, fresh pineapple, and local apples. Some of the items in the lunch will also be provided from local farms, including local apples from Dutton Berry Farm in Vermont and local lettuce from Farmer John’s Plot in Dublin. Support local foods and SMS by joining us at this special lunch!
Arrival at School: Any students arriving at school before 7:10am must go either to the cafeteria for breakfast and eat in the cafeteria, or wait in the front lobby or go to the gym.
