Music on Wednesday

Band:   7th and 8th  Grade Band will meet with Mr. Lowy today during Plus Block

Lessons:

  • Block 2 – 6th grade alto sax
  • Block 3 – 6th grade Trumpet/Trombone/Bass
  • Block 6 – 6th grade Percussion
  • Block 7 – 7th & 8th grade Flute A

Chorus6th Grade Altos and Sopranos will meet with Mrs. Fortin today during Plus Block.

 

Sports

Mr. Sil still is selling the Great Winter Slam T shirts for $5.00.  These shirts are a $12.00 value.  If any SMS student or staff would like one please see Mr. Sil in his office and he will get you one.

Mr. Sil would like to meet with all players that participated on the SMS Club Volleyball team last fall and also any other female SMS student that is interested in playing volleyball for next year.  Please come down to the gym right after announcements for a brief meeting.  If you cannot make it, please come down later in the day, and see Mr. Sil.

 

Fun Friday

Attention fifth and sixth grade students the date for Fun Friday has been changed to Friday, March 20th.  Permission slips will go home next week!

 

Sound Crew:

SMS Sound Crew please be prepared to stay after school for practice on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Next practice is Today.   Remember to bring in a permission note from home.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Baylies today. 

 

National School Breakfast Week March 9 – 13, 2015

National School Breakfast Week was designed to celebrate the importance of eating a healthy breakfast.  This year’s theme “Make the Grade with School Breakfast” highlights how eating a nutritious breakfast helps students be successful in the classroom and beyond.  More detailed information will be coming this week.

 

Outdoor Recess Reminder 

Attention students going outside for recess. You must wear boots and snow pants if you want to play in the snow and snow banks. If you are wearing sneakers, you must stay on the tar and play. Also, we do not allow throwing snow or pushing people in the snow. Have fun at recess and play by the rules.

Outdoor Recess Schedule – please dress for the weather 

Grade 6 outside/Grade 8 in the gym by Advisory and Grade 5 outside/Grade 7 in the gym by Advisory

 

Arrival at School:  Any students arriving at school before 7:10am must go either to the cafeteria for breakfast and eat in the cafeteria, or wait in the front lobby or go to the gym. 

 

 

Friday Night Rollerskating!

When:  Every Friday Evening Beginning 

October 17th through April 17th when school is in session.

(Except Halloween – 10/31/14)

 

Roller Skating $7 per session

Session 1:  5:30pm – 7:00 pm ~ (Family Skate)

Session 2: 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Students, grade 4 and under must be supervised by an adult.
