Health Education

Health education is starting this month at Francestown, Greenfield and Hancock Elementary Schools! The teaching model will look different this year.  Our PE teachers, Mrs. Carmichael (GES,HES) and Mr. Conway (FES,HES), will teach the health lessons, as well as our guidance counselor Mrs. Dunn (FES,GES,HES) and our nurse Mrs. Lemieux (FES,GES,HES).

 

The topics to be covered are:

 

Grade 1: Safety – Look Out!, Head To Toe, Why Do We Eat, Talk and Listen, Happy, Sad and In Between, Get Well Soon, How I Breathe, Run – Jump - and Skip

 

Grade 2: Let’s Stay Safe, How You Think, The Wide World of Food, Your Heart Small but Strong, When I feel Afraid, Germs, My Skin and Me, Muscles in Motion

 

Grade 3: Safe at Home and Away, The Better To See You, Let’s Eat, Community Health, I like Your Attitude, Family, Things You Might Catch, When Bodies Have Problems, Finding Out About Bones

 

Grade 4: Community Safety, The Digestive System, My Body, Be Cool – Keep Clean, Your Incredible Hearing Machine, Exercise
