Mrs. Cheryl Owens
Mrs. Owens has a BA degree in Business Education from Notre Dame College and took graduate courses at Rivier College. She worked all four years of college for a CPA and after graduating from college worked for a summer at Ernst & Whinney Accounting Firm before entering her teaching career.
Mrs. Owens started teaching in 1984 at Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative High School. She taught in Wilton for two years before moving to ConVal High School. She started teaching at ConVal High School in 1986. She left in 1993 to raise her family.
During her time away from ConVal, she was an adjunct faculty member at Nashua Community College in Nashua, NH in the evenings and summers. This allowed her to stay at home during the day with her children and teach classes in the evening. In 2002, she returned to ConVal.
She has taught a variety of business and computer courses over the years, starting with keyboarding, typing, shorthand, notehand, office procedures, general business and BASIC programming. She has also taught Business and Personal Law, Entrepreneurship/Small Business, Accounting I, Accounting II, Introduction to Computers, Computers/Health, Intermediate Computers, Advanced Digital Literacy and Consumer Education.
Mrs. Owens is a member of the New Hampshire Business Education Association (NHBEA). At ConVal, she has been a class advisor to many classes and is currently a co-advisor to the Future Business Leaders of America Club (FBLA).
