Intro to Music Theory

Offered to anyone electing music for the first time. Classes are open to all students. No previous experience is required. Students will be exposed to basic fundamentals of music including notation, basic theory, note reading, listening skills, keyboard orientation, and other types of introductory activities. The focus of these elements will be as they relate to song writing mechanics and the course will culminate in the writing of several songs. Exceptionally talented students may be chosen for an 012 level of this class.
