The focus of our vision since the 2010-11 school year has been on building a positive culture of respect: respect for self, respect for peers, respect for adults, and respect for the facilities. By building this positive culture, we create an environment where the focus can be on improved student.
The 2011-12 school year was devoted to improvements in the areas of curriculum, instruction and assessment. Specifically, we have been focusing on developing a professional learning community, our new intervention block devoted to Teams in Academic Support Centers (TASC), and our ongoing curriculum mapping project.
The 2012-13 school year focused on further improvements in the areas of curriculum, instruction and assessment, including progress towards curriculum mapping and the district-wide transition to the Common Core. We also completed a major infrastructure project, the rebuilding and expansion of the ConVal gymnasium into an ADA-compliant wellness and health instruction center.
Together, these improvements will guide our action plan for 2013-14 as we continue to strive to meet the learning needs of all students.
